1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Start your child’s love of reading off early to help them become strong readers! The concept is simple; the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your child with a goal of reading 1,000 books before they start kindergarten.

Book-a-Techie

The Library offers personalized 1-on-1 technology assistance with a library staff member. These Book a Techie sessions last 1 hour and are available by appointment only.

Business Center

The Business Center is located beside the copier. It includes a stapler, pencil sharpener, three-hole punch, tape, paper clips, pencils, and fax cover sheets.

Cards for Kids

The Illinois Cards for Kids Act allows qualifying students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade who participate in the Federal Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program at school to obtain a library card free of charge, even if they live in an unserved area.

Children’s Library

Town & Country Public Library offers a variety of programs and services specifically for our younger patrons.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pickup is available at the Library during operating hours. Park in the designated spot and call 630-365-2244 to take advantage of this service.

Faxing

Faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page or $2.00 per page for international destinations. Fax cover sheets are available.

Free WiFi

Free public Wi-Fi is available to anyone in the Library. No password is required, simply connect your device to Town and Country Public Library.

Magnifier

Donated by the Elburn Lions Club, the video screen magnifier can enlarge books, newspapers, and other print media. This machine is available without an appointment.

Outreach

The Library Outreach program offers home delivery service to our Homebound Patrons. If you, or someone you know, is unable to visit the Library in-person, then this service may be for you.

Parent Resources

Find homework help, homeschool resources, and other services to help your child both in and out of the classroom.

Passes

The Museum Adventure Pass and Explore More Illinois programs are free services that provides passes for free and discounted admissions to museums and other fun cultural attractions. A Town & Country Public Library card is required.

Passports

Town and Country Public Library offers passport services for individuals applying for new passports. New passport applications are processed by appointment only.

Print from Home

The Town and Country Public Library has partnered with Princh to make it easier for our patrons to print from anywhere. While on your home computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, simply upload your print job, then visit the Library’s Circulation Desk and let our staff know your name.

Printing and Copying

A public printer is available in our Business Center. Guests can print or make copies up to a size of 11x17 in black and white ($.10 per page) or color ($.50 per page). The first 10 pages are free.
