Aspiring screenwriter Emma Wheeler has longed to write her own movie- a rom-com. When she gets a chance to assist renowned screenwriter Charlie Yates, she can't say no. But upon arriving in LA, Emma realizes that Charlie hates romance. And has written one of the worst romance movies she's ever seen. Will she stick it out and help him write the rom-com of her dreams, or will she admit defeat and move back home. As their professional relationship turns personal, and health scares arise on both sides, maybe romance is better left off-screen.
