I went into this book blind, not having read anything about it except 4 and 5 star reviews. I was initially confused when the names changed... I had to go back and make sure of what was going on. But then it dawned on me, that's the title of the book for a reason! Then I read the blurb. As suspected, it's speculative fiction, one of my favorite genres. What a unique storyline; a little bit alternative universe, a little bit "It's a Wonderful Life" in that it speculates what would happen if you were born with a different name. Would it affect just the named, or those around them? What's in a name? Wow, this is a very powerful, speculative, literary fiction. The uniqueness of this excellent story makes it a 5-star read.
