A 10 on a scale of 1-5!!! If you’re typically an audiobook reader, don’t, on this one. It is written solely in letters and journal-like entries so it makes sense to 'see' it in print. It tells the story of an older woman’s life so very well. It took me a long time to read the last 20 pages because I didn’t want it to end. Extremely relatable for me, as a 60-something-year-old woman with grown children and no spouse anymore. Amazingly written, it often references books we know and love throughout, as she and her friends are readers. I loved every minute of this! Tears at the end. So heartwarmingly sad. Thank you to the author for writing a protagonist who isn’t in her 20s or 30s! And written beautifully as well. This book is as close to perfect as I have ever read.
