Tohru Honda is a kind orphan teen. One day, when living in a tent, she comes upon some kids that go to her school. Quickly, she learns that their family, the Sohmas, is affected by a curse; they turn into zodiac animals. Slowly, she meets the whole family and they accept her as their own. This story is about finding a chosen family, friendships, healing from grief, coming to terms with their pasts, and healing from familial curses and generational trauma.
